Recently I have been reading articles online about how the food combining rules which most of these articles are not even accurate on, have been debunked and that there is <a href=http://health.usnews.com/health-news/blogs/eat-run/2015/05/12/debunking-the-myth-of-food-combining>no scientific evidence </a> of it's existence. <a href=http://www.incrediblesmoothies.com/green-smoothies/isnt-blending-fruits-and-vegetables-in-a-green-smoothie-improper-food-combining/> Other articles have been written </a>by people who either have no training in health or training in health by the pharmaceutical corporations.

The first thing that needs to be mentioned about these articles is that the authors do not seem to be interested in health in the least. From their attitudes and the limited information about them, they all seem to be simply consuming the usual standard western diet that is causing the average person to die of atherosclerosis, cancer and many other chronic and acute diseases. Without being educated in what a healthy human diet is and not following one, how can these people claim to know whether food combining is real or not?

When your food consists of well over 90% cooked foods, animal product foods such as meats, dairy and eggs, processed foods such as breads, cereals, potatoes, rice and limited water filled and fiber filled fresh, raw, ripe fruits and vegetables, it's quite obvious that these people will not be able to sense the difference between eating a healthy properly combined meal versus a pile of junk foods. Having been on the other side of the fence, when I used to eat the standard western diet, I would have agreed with these individuals. I wasn't able to tell if what I ate was well combined or not because my body was just ravaged with the toxic foods that I was eating. After changing my diet to a clean, fresh, raw, ripe, organic and whole fruit and vegetable diet where I eat nearly all of my meals as mono-meals for over 9 years, I certainly can feel the difference between a well combined meal and one which is poorly combined.

You might be asking what do I mean by this? Why would it make a difference when someone is eating a clean diet or a standard western diet to the food combining being correct or incorrect? The food combining will still be either correct or incorrect but the person won't feel the difference until they have been on a healthy near mono-meal diet for some time. The human body has amazing abilities to adapt to very poor situations and sustain that situation. For example when a teenager is about 15 years old and they attend high school, often they are pressured to try smoking tobacco or drinking alcohol. For those who have tried these, I'm sure you probably remember your first cigarette or beer. You probably wanted to throw up after the first time you inhaled tobacco smoke or tasted a beer. I sure did. Go to any bar and see men over 18 or 21 depending on the laws in your country and see them drink beer after beer and smoke cigarette after cigarette. Do they feel like throwing up every time they taste the beer or inhale the tobacco smoke? No, they do not because their body has gotten so used to the damaging toxic products coming in every so often that the real sense to make them sick is gone. This is the same for the food combining issue, without being in a healthy state, the body just doesn't create the symptoms of illness when poorly combined foods are consumed.

Healthy people who adhere to a raw, mostly mono-meal diet made up of fresh, ripe, organic and whole fruits and vegetables will always know the difference between a properly combined meal and a poorly combined one. It's like a total layman trying to explain how to fly a rocket-ship through the atmosphere of Earth. Unless they have experience with healthy lifestyles, they really can't be a judge of something that requires a health lifestyle to understand.

These articles mention that there is no scientific evidence to support food combining. Again the science of food combining is overwhelming, elementary chemistry proves that combining 2 chemicals that react violently with each other together in a test tube which is no different than combining them in the stomach results in extremely violent reactions. Mix an alkaline liquid or semi-liquid with an acid liquid and the result is very violent. There will be bubbles, smoke, unrest and the original substances will be converted into other possibly more toxic substances. Don't forget that the stomach also will have several other chemicals in it besides the foods added, it will have various amounts of hydrochloric acid plus several enzymes that will be excreted by glands in the stomach and other organs. This environment can be duplicated in a laboratory and any non-believer could try these experiments themselves. What they will find might surprise them.

One of the reasons used to debunk food combining is that the stomach contains hydrochloric acid which neutralizes everything. First of all the stomach does indeed contain this acid but the amount in an average person's stomach is only 20 to 100ml, and is usually closer to the low end as most people's stomach acid is weak due to their poor diet. This amount of acid is not enough to destroy all of the microbes in the food nor is it going to be able to acidify all of the foods eaten as some of the surfaces of the ingested food will be difficult to reach.

Also, once the food gets into the small bowel it is mixed with sodium bicarbonate, which neutralizes the acid because the small bowel would be damaged by the high acidity of the stomach contents. This is where there are many active microbes which will start to ferment the foods which are only partially digested, as well as putrefy the proteins.

<br>
One thing that is true is that the stomach will secrete a package of enzymes to digest whatever is coming into the stomach. The stomach has no idea what is coming in so it just secretes all the enzymes it needs to digest everything. Unfortunately humans were mono-meal eaters for most of their existence and these packets of enzymes were meant to digest one kind of food and not a poorly combined mishmash of foods. This means the packet of digestive enzymes will work for high carbohydrate foods, high fat foods but not work very well for high protein foods. The sub-products of digesting a poorly combined meal will react with some of the other substances in the stomach which would not be present if the foods were eaten as a mono-meal.

If one looks to nature to see what is going on there, which is what a scientist should be doing as nature explains nearly everything about life, we see that it's almost unanimous that every creature on Earth eats mono-meals almost every time. Next time you see a bird that dives into the sea for a fish and then lays it on the ground to go get a worm or another kind of insect, please get a picture so I can update this article. Animals will eat one kind of food until satiation. It's quite obvious that humans, which are another creature on Earth, ate mono-meals at some point and strayed from that to get to the diets of today. Modern diets are so poor that the number one reason why people visit doctors, emergency rooms and medical clinics worldwide is for digestive system issues.

The articles that debunk food combining quote that no intelligent person with credentials ever agrees with food combining. In reality there are hundreds or more extremely intelligent people with tons of credentials who advocate food combining. People like Dr. David Klein, PhD, Zarin Azar, MD, Dr. Alan Goldhamer, MD, all have high credentials from accredited schools. As mentioned earlier, people who follow poor diets will not support food combining because they will have never experienced a smooth digestion that human bodies are meant to have all the time.

About a year ago a new diet (not really a new one but the same old one with a new name) came onto the scene. It was coined by Durianrider and Freelee of Australia. They started a site called 30Bananasaday in the mid 2000's to promote veganism and raw food. The site was run by a group of overzealous young people who listened to everything that the two creators told them. They would ban anyone who posted anything about cooked foods or animal products. Anything that went against their set rules would be removed from the site. If there was a post that criticized any of their made up fairytale diet and health world or them it was soon removed and the poster was banned from the site.
<p>
This is the way these two think is the right way to work in the online community. If you don't like something just make it go away. Remove it. Delete it and soon you can go back to the brainwashing and bullying.

In 2011 the Woodstock Fruit Festival was created. It is an event that a runner named Michael Arnstein created to bring people together who either were a part of the raw fruit and vegetable diet community or at least were interested in knowing more about it. There were many people who were invited to this week long festival to be what they referred to as pioneers. Many of these pioneers had very little real world experience and even less real credentials as health practitioners. Some were only trying the diet once in a while and were really not consuming anything close to the diet most of the time but still were invited to be leaders and speakers at the festival. Some of these pioneers were as young as 23 years old and had only started on a raw fruit and vegetable diet maybe 1 year earlier.

In 2013 after Durianrider went to the Woodstock Fruit Festival as a pioneer and then started to promote the use of processed sugars, cooked highly processed junk foods like pizza, white rice and Thai food as a healthy part of a vegan diet the management of the Woodstock Fruit Festival decided <a href="http://www.thewoodstockfruitfestival.com/profiles/blogs/harley-and-freelee-now-special-guests-no-longer-pioneers" target="_blank">to kick Durianrider and Freelee out as pioneers </a> from the Woodstock Fruit Festival.
<p>
The couple took this very hard and soon started to bully and lash out at the managers of the Woodstock Fruit Festival who they thought were responsible for their ill fate. They started to create videos on Youtube that showed dirt on people like FullyrawKristina, Doug Graham, and Dan McDonald. They also started to create a lot of <a href="http://www.30bananasaday.com/forum/topics/durianrider-freelee-share-the-truth" target="_blank">new posts on their 30Bananasaday site </a> to make these people look bad.
<p>
Not long after all of this they decided to start their own festival in Chiang Mai Thailand called the Raw Till 4 Thai fruit festival. This would be an event that was totally free and would take place over a 2 week period in July 2014. Most of the people at the festival were overweight and several were simply obese. In fact even after over 1 year the same people who were at the first year of the festival were more fat and obese than they were in the first year (year 2 was held in June 2015).
<p>
Either these people do not follow the recommended Raw Till 4 diet or there is something very wrong with the diet. Most people who eat a healthy diet (I am just using most to be conservative, it is really all) will see tremendous results in a few weeks and in a few months at most. People who are eating a healthy diet for over a year would certainly show a lot of improvement and start to look much thinner if they were overweight. None of this can be said of the participants of the Raw Till 4 diet, they all are just getting fatter if they started out fat and thinner if they started out too thin.
<p>
What is wrong with the Raw Till 4 diet? Here are some of the problems: First of all eating tons of fruit all day and then following that with cooked vegan food is a very bad idea. Fruits if eaten ripe and raw and in their natural state digest well only when they are eaten on an empty stomach. If a person eats a bunch of junk foods like rice, pizza, pasta and stir fried foods in the evening and then they wake up and have a meal of fruit there will likely still be some of the junk food in the digestive tract and the fruit will not get digested correctly. The fruit will ferment in the body as opposed to getting assimilated.
<p>
The creators of the diet suggest that men must eat at least 3000 calories of food every day and women eat at least 2500. They do not believe that the number of calories that someone eats in a day are related to the size of the person and the amount of activity that they do that day. This is a clear fallacy, every health and diet instructor I have ever heard of says that the number of calories someone needs in a day is related to the amount of activity the person does and their size. It makes no sense for a 75 to 80 pound sedentary woman to consume the same amount of calories as a 170 pound woman who spends the day in the hot sun lifting heavy boxes and working hard. This is a recipe for disaster. Obviously there will be overweight people on the diet.
<p>
The diet requires drinking a liter of water upon waking up. It requires 3 to 5 liters of water to be drank in a day. This also is across the board and not depending on the lifestyle of the person. A healthy human shouldn't need to drink more than a little bit of water a day unless they live in a very hot dry climate or they eat some very poor foods which lack water content. It also depends on the amount of physical exercise that someone does in a day. If a person is sedentary and lives in a cold environment and they eat lots of juicy fruit then probably very little water if any at all is required. In fact drinking the amount of water that is suggested will cause damage to the kidneys and other elimination organs with time as they are not designed to eliminate so much water. Also many electrolytes will be flushed out of the body with this immense amount of fluid, leaving the body weak and unable to function correctly.
<p>
The biggest problem with the diet is the way many young people grasp onto it without verifying that it is even the right thing to do. Many of these people simply want to be different and just blindly do everything that the diet prescribes. They will eventually find that their health will suffer and some might even get chronic or even life threatening illnesses such as cancer and heart attacks due to the stresses that the diet can create on the organs of the body.
<p>
Another issue is that the diet requires people to use vitamin b12 shots. They actually encourage people to buy their own syringes and administer the b12 themselves. This is totally irresponsible as only a qualified medical technician should administer anything to people who have no idea what they are doing. There are risks of infection and spreading of various diseases. The main problem however is that the human body has evolved over millennium to have many systems to protect it from harm such as the coating of skin and to just ignore those systems and force foreign substances directly into the bloodstream is potentially harmful. In fact there is no such thing as 100% vitamin b12, the b12 that is sold always contain additives which, along with the b12 itself doesn't belong in the blood of a human.
<p>
Using anything as a prophylactic is never a good idea. Every nutrient in the human body has a certain range that it needs to be in as well it has to be consumed in a certain form and in combination with other nutrients. To just blindly take shots of vitamin b12 without knowing how much vitamin b12 is needed, if any is a dangerous behavior. Teaching people to do this is irresponsible and can lead to dangerous situations. Many people consume a vegan diet who never use any b12 supplements and do not need to, adding this form of b12 to a body that doesn't need any will simply make the elimination organs work to remove the excess.
<p>
Durianrider and Freelee have no integrity. In the days when they created the 30Bananasaday site they would ban anyone who even mentioned cooked foods, today they encourage the consumption of not only cooked food but completely processed junk cooked food. In my opinion they never were truly eating 100% raw foods, anyone who was would never fluctuate back to a cooked diet because they would feel so much worse. Nobody would accept that poor feeling every day and continue feeling bad when they know how good it would feel to be 100% raw on just fruits and vegetables. They never got to feeling that way, which means they never were really eating that way for a long enough period of time.
<p>
The Raw Till 4 diet is not raw at all. By the very nature of the diet, eating raw all day and then starting to eat cooked food at 4 p.m. is like being sober until 4, or being sexually abstinent until 4. Is it really raw? Most people are addicted to cooked food and therefore they would skip all of the raw food or eat a small amount during the day, saving their stomach room for the 4 p.m. cooked meal when they will stuff themselves with tons of cooked junk foods. This is a totally cooked diet and not raw at all.
<p>
I believe that Durianrider and Freelee just plagiarized a book by Mark Bittman called <a href="http://www.amazon.com/VB6-Before-Weight-Restore-Health/dp/0385344740" target="_blank">VB6: Eat Vegan Before 6:00 </a>, which came out in May of 2013, just around the time they were kicked out the the Woodstock Fruit Festival. They did not use exactly the same name but it is quite obvious they did not think of this one on their own.
<p>
The diet doesn't differentiate between whole foods like beans, lentils and quinoa and processed foods like white rice or processed sugars. There is a lot of scientific data on the way processed food versus whole foods react with the human body. All show that processed foods are always the worst choice and whole unprocessed food is always the best choice. Avoid the processed foods like white rice, processed sugars, salt (which is not even a food at all) and junk foods like pizza and all the other crap that they are seen scarfing down on their Youtube videos.
<p>
Cooked foods are always poorer in quality, they always contain less or none of the nutrients that the uncooked food contained before it was cooked. Even the lycopene example where the mainstream seems to prefer cooked foods because the lycopene is more bio-available doesn't mean that it is needed in that form, or in the quantities it is provided in the cooked form. There is sufficient bio-available lycopene in an uncooked version of the food to keep people healthy, adding more is not a good thing and it has to be at the risk or loss of something else.

Unfortunately I believe that most people who even care at all about their health get most of their advice about nutrition from places like the back of a bus or even worse, the TV, newspaper, magazines or from popular websites that are really there to earn the website owner lots of money. Sadly we all live in a world where everything is biased when it comes to nutrition. Why do I say that everything is biased when it comes to nutrition? Well, diet and nutrition is one area where every single human on the planet must participate.
<br>

When somebody consumes a certain diet they assume that it is the greatest thing for their health and that there is nothing better in the universe. This seems to be the case with most people, especially those who advise a diet that is different from the mainstream diet. Rarely do you find someone who is a trusted figure on diet who eats one diet but suggests a different one. We all suggest a diet that is the one we are eating right now, who would do otherwise?

Another big issue is that we all are people who have to eat every single day and everyone has likes and dislikes when it comes to food. We tend to eat the things that we like the taste of over what is actually healthy for us. Some people have figured out how to enjoy the taste of healthy foods and somehow avoid the foods that taste good to them but are unhealthy.
<br>
<p>
There is also so much conflicting information about diet that it is nearly impossible to keep up with the latest ideas from the top scientists and what is the best diet for human health. There are new books written on the subject almost every day, so much information overload is a bad thing. There also are so many stakeholders who have something to gain by having the diet recommended include certain foods or supplements.
<br>
<p>
The ad on the back of the bus seems to encourage meals under 500 calories. A meal of 500 calories is not going to fill up the average person. A normal size man of about 5 foot 10 inches who weighs around 150 to 175 pounds will require about 2700 calories a day if he is not very active. A meal of 500 calories falls far short of the minimum of 900 that he will need for each meal. The person who follows a diet plan like this will be craving calories all day and will certainly give in to the cravings by eating large amounts of potato chips, ice cream, or some other health destroying foods.
<br>
<p>
The only diet that will satisfy someone is one that provides sufficient calories as well as one that gives the person the feeling of a full stomach which also tastes good. If a person consumes nearly all of their calories from the plant world and chooses to eat nearly all of their food whole and ripe from nature, they will be able to feel satisfied, get enough calories and taste and never have to worry about gaining weight.

Why would anyone dispute a diet that can do all this? In a world full of billions who consume a diet that consists of both plant and animal products it is difficult to separate what we see and do from what really makes any sense. It can be said that humans were "designed" to drive automobiles or fly in airplanes but if the speaker has any logic, these statements are simply untrue. In fact it is the opposite, automobiles and airplanes were designed to carry humans and not the other way around.
<br><br>
What was the human body designed to consume? Most will say both animals and vegetables. Okay so if we are designed to consume animals then why do we rarely, in fact almost never chase down, kill and consume an animal that we see in nature somewhere? Now I am not talking about the use of a weapon like the hunter who uses a shotgun or a bow and arrow to hunt down an animal but I am talking about using the body parts that we humans were born with.
<br><br>
We live on a planet with thousands of other species of animals and the general rule an observer can see in these animals when still in nature will have everything that they need to find, track down, chase, capture and kill their food on their body. Most of the time they will eat their kill right on the spot that they killed it.
<br><br>
Have you ever watched a cat capture kill and eat a mouse or a rat? They have a sense that drives them to movement, in fact cats do not see colors well but they catch movement very well and will be alerted as soon as some sort of possible prey is moving close by. Suddenly they start to salivate and their tails will prop up. They will accelerate quickly to get to the mouse and then have their paw or teeth on the mouse in seconds. Soon the mouse which is scared for it's life will either try to run or it will try to play dead and stay in one place. The cat is smart enough to know this and will probe the mouse with it's paw to find out if it will take off running. As soon as the motion starts the cat will attack again and will repeat this until either the mouse is dead or close to dead and can't continue trying to escape. Once the mouse is dead the cat will find a quiet location to sit with the mouse and he or she will tear it apart and consume every part of the mouse from the tail to the whiskers on it's face. In fact the cat eats everything, including the stomach contents and the contents of the colon (defecation) of the mouse. He or she eats the claws, the nails, the bones, the hair, the flesh and even the cartilage holding the bones together as well as the tail, ears, eyes, head etc. The cat seems to relish eating the mouse and enjoys every single part.
<br><br>
Humans on the other hand will eat only certain predetermined parts of an animal, such as the muscles of the torso or the leg and then of course these specified parts are almost always cooked and many kinds of flavorings are used to make the flesh of these animals palatable. Few people will just eat a piece of an animal's body without any kind of sauce or at least some salt, pepper, marinade or some other flavoring like garlic, onions, spices and vegetables. Sugar is often used in many recipes to make the flavor more like what our body was really designed for which is fruit. Even the cooking method is there to hide the fact that it is an animal being eaten and to change the flavor. For example many people enjoy grilling animal bodies so there is a black coating on them, which changes the taste of the flesh giving it a smokey flavor. Often the entire piece of flash is hidden in a stew or a curry so that it is totally unseen and is covered by a spicy sauce that hides the fleshy nature of the animal's body.

All species on Earth have all the facilities to track, capture, kill and eat the foods that they were designed to eat. Humans need to create tools to do this and nearly never eat the animal in the form that it was killed in, raw and still covered in skin, fur and with all of the internal organs intact. Humans almost always "clean" their kill by removing the internal organs. These internal organs are not dirt but are parts of the animal and if a human was designed to eat animals they would relish eating these as much as a cat does eating them from a mouse.

Except for one single Youtube video I have seen, I have never seen a human kill and eat an animal with his or her bare hands and teeth. In fact I would be willing to bet that many humans would stop consuming animals if they had no other choice but to chase down their own prey with bare hands and kill it with their teeth and then eat it without any tools whatsoever. We would soon be in a nearly vegetarian world if this ever happened. People just do not have the will or desire to do this in order to eat an animal, they want to eat the select parts that they have been eating in the manner they have been eating it, killed by someone else and prepared to taste in a certain way and look a certain way.

Until I see this as the norm in human populations, I will have to go with logic and not with the numbers as I certainly can not see how animal flesh is a food that a human body was designed for. By definition an omnivore is an animal that eats both plants and other animals, which many people, in fact most people will accept this as the category where humans fit in. The reason for this is because when we look around a bit we see humans eating both plants and animals. In that respect I suppose this is true, we humans eat both plants and animals.

If you change the definition of omnivores to the category of eater that has a body that is designed to eat both plants and animals then humans certainly do not fit in that group at all. As I explained in a previous post, we do have so called canine teeth but so do many other animals who do not eat much meat at all, in fact some eat no animal products and have huge canine teeth, which make the rather weak and flat ones in a human mouth look like they are not even canines. Tearing up fruits and vegetables are a much better use for these than tearing into a live animal in order to kill it and consume it. We would have a very difficult time getting through all the bones and tissues in most animals with only our teeth.

Why would we have a body designed perfectly to consume plants but lacks in it's ability to consume animals but still are designed to eat both plants and animals. There is no argument that bears and pigs are omnivores. Ok, maybe some of you will argue this but most people accept these facts. Compare the body of a bear or a pig to a human and we get few similarities. Our digestive tract is way too long. If we are meant to consume meat or animals if I may, then why would we have such a long digestive tract that we find meat putrefies before it is digested. If you don't believe me, then spend some time in a public toilet in a fast food restaurant, or in most any restaurant that serves meat and you'll soon find out. The stench of rotting flesh is in the air as soon as a meat eater sits down for their once a week bowel movement, ok so maybe it's once every 2 or 3 days but I remember when I was consuming animals, I rarely was able to produce a bowel movement more than once every other day.

Then of course there is the rarely mentioned fact that an animal's natural food will not make them sick. In fact a dog or cat can consume meat from freshly killed animals every single day of it's life for every single meal and they do not get heart disease, nor strokes nor any other meat related diseases. Bears and pigs are similar, they can eat lots and lots of meat and still never get health problems.

Why then do humans often get sick from eating meat? If meat is in fact a natural food of humans it should never have any negative effects on a human body, never. If you are not convinced, then I ask the reader to simply do a search with any search engine you please and find all of the studies that support that the cause of many cardiovascular issues in humans is related to the consumption of meat.

Gout is a serious cardiovascular disease that is caused by excess uric acid in the body. Uric acid is created when our body digests purines. Purines are in almost every food, both animal foods and plant foods. The only thing is that "purines from meat and fish clearly increase our risk of gout, while purines from vegetables fail to change our risk". How is it that our bodies are designed to consume meat (if they are so designed then there should be no problem with eating meat every day or even for every meal) but many people develop gout? No other species of omnivore has ever developed gout or any other food related disease that comes from a food that their body was biologically designed for. I wonder why our designer messed up so badly and made such huge mistakes in our design that we can't even enjoy the food we were designed for?

Oh, I know why, we need to eat meat in moderation. Yes, I have heard that one often, "everything in moderation"...ok yes we need to moderate our food consumption. I'm certain that we as humans are supposed to skip eating every other day so that we can enjoy that delicious animal carcass that we had a couple of days ago. I have never seen a cat or dog take a few days off because it needs to eat in moderation. This is simply craziness, we need to eat every day and the foods that our body was designed to consume will not make us sick, even if we eat it every day and for every meal.

I don't know what the situation is like outside of the US, but here there is a department of the government called the USDA (US department of agriculture) that actually helps the farmer's market their products and subsidizes them by giving them favorable tax rates, cheap or free loans and discounts on supplies and labor.

Most of these subsidized farmers are not growing food for direct human consumption, they are either raising animals for human consumption or they are growing plant foods such as soy and corn for animal consumption. Almost all of the animal derived products are subsidized.
<br><br>
This is why when looking at a menu in a restaurant, especially the fast food ones, the prices for the animal product foods, which contain meat, eggs and dairy are often unbelievably cheap. We've all heard of the dollar menus at all of the fast food outlets. Notice that there is never a salad on the dollar menu, unless that salad contains cheese and meat or eggs.

The foods that are grown and sold directly to humans for human consumption are hardly ever subsidized and therefore are more expensive than the animal foods. By far these foods are healthier to humans and the environment. Why then does the government want us to eat the unhealthy foods?
<br><br>
It all comes down to who the stakeholders are and how much pull they have. The ranchers get all the subsidies because they are supported by the large conglomerates such as the meat packers and the beef board. There are hardly any large conglomerates supporting the healthy plant based foods.
<br><br>
In order to make ends meet for many people who live close to the poverty line, they must consume the cheapest foods they can find. In most cases they will not even be able to buy healthy fruits and vegetables because they are too expensive. They get most of their calories from the subsidized animal foods.
<br><br>
This leads to poor health, an environment that is falling apart, plus an unsustainable economy that depends on the subsidies of the government to survive. These products should not be subsidized at all and instead they should be taxed by the government just like tobacco products are. Tobacco products are known to cause serious health problems in their users, similar to animal food products.
<br><br>
The system is backwards and these subsidies need to be reversed and changed into taxes. This would improve health of the population just because these people will eventually start to buy the cheaper plant based products when the animal foods will cost more. As I mentioned on previous posts, there are addictive substances in many of the foods that are commonly eaten. These are opiod substances in dairy, which are there to make sure the baby animal continues to thrive by continuing to drink milk from it's mother's breasts, as well as in meat, which contains many substances created by the animal during it's life as well as during the short period of time it was undergoing it's death, and of course most grains contain substances that are addictive so that birds and other seed and grain eating animals continue to consume the seeds in order for the plant to spread it's seeds as the bird flies and drops it's droppings all over the planet.

Besides these, of course there are many other addictive substances in food such as certain herbs, spices, chemicals and processed foods that are addictive as well.
<p>
When people consume these addictive foods they do not notice that they are even addicted. In fact even people addicted to drugs do not realize that they are addicted. Some do realize it but they deny that they are. It's actually difficult to realize that you are addicted to food when the entire world eats these same foods and the government and the media continue to create an illusion that these are actually healthy foods.
<p>
What usually happens when someone who is addicted to these foods tries to stop eating the food they feel really sick. This is an expected response to stopping an addiction. We feel that we need to continue to have the substance that we are addicted to. Most people trying to quit smoking have an awfully difficult time quitting because of the addictive qualities of the chemicals in tobacco.
<p>
The feelings are usually so strong that they fail to stop eating the food and just go right back to eating it. This makes them feel much better as the addictive substances are now back in their body and they are no longer feeling the withdrawal symptoms.
<p>
This is why most people have a hard time changing their diet to a much healthier one. There seems to be a big movement these days towards the caveman or paleolithic diet. There was a history of time when humans were hunters and gatherers. This is a long time ago.<p>
They lived in caves and recently started to control fire. This allowed them to break down the cells of difficult to eat foods so that they were edible. Fibrous and hard food that were not consumable in nature now could be eaten.<p>
Another use was the killing of germs. Obviuosly as soon as a dead corpse is killed there are opportunistic life forms that take advantage of the loss of immune system to kill them off.<p>
Microbes of all types will take up residence in a dead corpse within minutes of it's death. That is why we use refrigeration and other forms of preservation. One of the ways to reduce this was to use fire.<p>
Fire not only killed most of these microbes but it modified the food as well. Not for the better but obviously for the worse. There were new chemicals created when the heat touched the food.<p>
For those who have some organic chemistry background, when heat is applied to almost any organic substance in the presence of oxygen there will be new organic substances created. Also the remaining substances will become modified as bonds break and new ones form. Many of these substances are carcinogenic, meaning that they promote the genesis of cancer.<p>
The people who eat lots of cooked and especially barbequed flesh are exposing themselves to these carcinogens on a regular basis. Also when the body is in constant ketosis, which means that the body is turning fat and protein into sugar, there is less energy to seek out and destroy cancer cells.<p>
All of these contribute to higher than average chance of getting cancer. <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ancestralhealthsymposium/6996306485/">Here</a> is an article documenting the real fact that the inuit in Greenland in the 1400's were developing cancer. They had no contact with the white man up until that point and they were unable to consume anything but the low carb high fat flesh from animals. Which is similar to the paleolithic diet.<p>
A Google search of the keyword "paleo cancer" will bring up a long list of links that include admission by many paleolithic dieters who have been diagnosed with cancer after they were on the diet (some for many years).<p>
A vegan low fat diet is used to return yourself to health and remain healthy for a long happy life (as well as a happy life for the animals who you did not kill to eat).<p>
Eating a paleo diet is also a big environmental disaster with most of the rain forests of the planet being cut and burned down to raise animals. The amount of water that is used to raise animals versus fruits and vegetables is astronomical. There is a popular supporter of the "Primal" diet named Mark Sisson. He has a website and sells many products and potions. He also has written a few books on the subject.

If you don't know much about the primal diet it is sort of based on the low carb or Atkins diet. The idea of the diet is to reduce the amount of carbohydrates in one's diet.
<p>
When carbohydrates are reduced or eliminated from the diet the body is starved for energy and can not survive. Every single cell of the trillions that make up a living body requires carbohydrates all the time. In order to overcome this the body will turn protein and fat into carbohydrates.
<p>
This process creates ketones. These ketones are toxic and the body must eliminate them along with all of the other metabolic toxins. This requires a lot of extra work for the body and these extra toxins can cause diseases.
<p>
This process is a survival process and not a normal process. Normally our body was designed to consume vast amounts of natural carbohydrates and use them for fuel.

This is where I have a problem with Mark. He mentions that we need to eat fresh, organic and unprocessed food. He then recommends eating moderate amounts of animal flesh. Animal flesh can only be fresh if you kill the animal yourself. I don't think Mark is out in the woods right now slitting a deer's throat.

I don't know where he gets his supply of animal flesh but certainly it can't be fresh unless he kills the animal himself. Organic for animal flesh is really a big lie. There are no organic guidelines for animal flesh. Most meat that is sold as organic is really the same as the factory farm meat. It's not easy to force animals to eat organic food, they will eat whatever they find. All meat has to be processed or it will putrefy in a short time. No meat is unprocessed unless it is eaten as soon as it is killed. For example a lion will take down an antelope and eat it within minutes. The lion will consume everything from head to hoof and eat it raw. Humans just do not seem to want to do this.

He says to get plenty of quality sleep. Further down the page he said that he sleeps 7 hours a day. The recommendation for sleep is 8 to 10 hours by every health organization around. He obviously is not even following his own advice.
<p>
In order to get antioxidants (galore) someone needs to consume a lot of colorful plant foods like fruit and vegetables. Meat and animal products contain none to a trace of antioxidants. If you are recommending people to eat animal flesh then you can't at the same time recommend they eat antioxidants (galore), because that is a conflict.

The part about ethical behavior is self explanatory. How can you consume thousands of harmless sentient animals, destroy the environment and recommend that others do the same and call that ethical. I believe that he is right however on the part about what goes around comes around, so Mr. Sisson, remember you said that and not me.

It's been a while since I posted anything here. I was just enjoying the weather and had a few short trips.

If you spend much time online, I'm sure you've seen some of the ads recently for alcohol. Not just beer and wine but the hard liquor is now going low carb.
<p>
I saw an ad for Bacardi low carb drinks. I had to check twice to be sure what I saw was real.
<p>
Why would someone who drinks hard liquor want to worry about carbs? Some of the ads also stated that they are low calorie. Do you know how much booze someone needs to drink in order to put on weight from drinking booze?
<p>
A person would need to practically live off of booze. That is they would need to get most of their calories from booze. This means that they would need to be intoxicated all day and night. This is the only way someone would possibly be able to gain weight from booze. The number of calories is small, less than most vegetables.
<p>
Why bother creating a booze that is low calorie or low carb? Most booze drinkers are not very health oriented either. Sure there are social drinkers who are health minded and drink once in a while. These people will get such a small amount of calories from the liquor that it's not even worth mentioning it.
<p>
Then there are the alcoholics. These people drink excessively and most if not all of them couldn't care less about their health. These alcoholics are the only people who would actiually be gaining weight from the liquor.
<p>
What are these companies thinking about when the develop these products? There is no target market that makes any sense. The people who want a low carb or low calorie drink probably don't drink much and therefore the amount of calories from the liquor that they drink is minimal even if they drink "full calorie" or "full carb" drinks. The people who actually would get a substantial amount of calories or carbs from liquor are too drunk to even understand the difference.

Besides they wouldn't care if the liquor was low carb or high carb as they just care about getting drunk.

I have seen this so called charity advertise on many billboards around the town that I live in. Whenever I see ads on billboards immediately a warning signal goes off in my head.

Billboard advertisements are not cheap. When you see someone advertising on billboards they are making a substantial amount of money and there is some profiteering going on.

Besides that I also see tons of ads online for them. One of the taglines is that 1 in 6 people in the US are struggling with hunger. I wonder what that really means. Just look at some of the people on their website who they claim are struggling with hunger and what do you see?

Obese and overweight families. Sure hunger and obesity are not opposites but if these people are hungry then what are they eating when not hungry to get so fat?
<p>
Besides that as is commonly known the population of the US is 35% obese and up to 80% overweight. How can nearly 17% of the population be hungry when at the same time they are overweight?
<p>
If I assume that the 80% of the population that is overweight is not hungry and 17% of the population is dealing with hunger then there is only 3% left who are not hungry and not overweight.
<p>
The US is known to be one of the wealthiest nations on the planet and there are only a total of 3% of the population who are not overweight or hungry?
<p>
I say to follow the money and be very careful with these charities. Do not just blindly donate money or any other valuable to just any charity without doing more indepth research. Let's celebrate Earth Day! Last week was Earth Day 2012. April 22 is the annual celebration of Earth Day. It is an event that started in the 1970s which is meant to make people aware of the impact of our lives on the fragile ecosystems that keep life alive on this planet.

I was at the local Whole Foods store and I saw some tents and a few people standing under them. I was curious so I went over to have a closer look.
<p>
What did I see? Was it some recycling or reuse demonstration? No. Was it some save the whales campaign? No. It was a barbeque grill with an employee standing over it grilling hamburgers. Yes, Whole Foods celebrates Earth Day by grilling hamburgers.
<p>
Now if that is not ironic then nothing is. The cooking of food is the number two largest source of greenhouse gases in the world. The consumption of meat is the number one.
<p>
So Whole Foods in celebration of Earth Day was showing the world that grilling hamburgers is an earthy thing to do eventhough it included two of the most destructive behaviors that humans do which contribute to the destruction of the earth. Instinctively when we taste something that is sour we will reach for a sweetener to make it taste better or more acceptable. This is why the billions of cups of coffee people consume around the world every day include sugars and other sweeteners to make the toxic substance taste better. The same goes for almost every other beverage. These include teas, shakes, sodas, lemonade and even fruit juices.<br />
<br />
Most of the time people use processed sweeteners like sugar, stevia, or chemicals like sweetnlow or splenda. Sometimes they use honey, molasses, agave, maple syrup, or a long list of other sweeteners. When someone starts off on a raw food diet, instead of using these processed sweeteners they reach for something like dates, dried figs or other dried fruit like raisins, or some even use the mislabelled "raw" agave syrup or dehydrated cane juice. Some will also use pure sugar cane juice.<br />
<br />
This behavior is a continuation of what was learned in our childhood. If we don't like the taste of something, then add some flavoring to it and try it again.<br />
<br />
Let's now go back to early man. These people did not have packaged goods. There was no grocery store to get a bag of white table sugar or anything else. There were obviously honeybees all around and therefore there was honey but the honey was carefully guarded by the bees and as humans without protective clothing trying to get the honey would have been a painful and awkward task.<br />
<br />
There were also all of the sweet fruits around when they were in season but in the jungle it wouldn't make much sense to seek out some specific type of ripe fruit when you needed to find some nourishment. If for example the tribe came upon a tree full of underripe guavas and they tasted bitter, there is not much chance that they decided to go out to look for another sweeter fruit to eat along with the bitter guavas to make them palatable.<br />
<br />
Most likely they skipped the bitter guavas altogether and instead just continued on their search for a better tasting meal. This allowed them to enjoy their food more and also get the best quality nutrition they could get.<br />
<br />
I really doubt that anybody came up with the idea of combining a sweet food with a sour or bitter one to cover up the bad taste. Why then do we now nearly without exception do the exact opposite?<br />
<br />
Why even consider eating or drinking something that tastes bland, sour or bitter when we have so many choices of much better tasting sweet foods? Why not just skip the bad tasting foods and instead consume the delicious sweet ripe and nutritious food?<br />
<br />
Think about this next time you are ordering something to eat. Even if you eat raw gourmet food and are following a recipe, do you really want to mix some raw agave syrup with your cashew nut pate to make it more tasty?<br />
<br />
Follow the laws of nature and eat one food at a time without any condiments or flavorings. Your health will thank you a million times over. Health is the natural state of humans. Most people think that we need to work for our health but in reality health is the natural state we should always be in.<br />

I often get comments about the enormous amount of fruit that I consume. I often have dozens of bananas on my chair and by the end of the lunch period they are all gone.<br />
<br />
People often say that it's cool to see this. Some say that I must be so healthy. Certainly this is a good reason to eat lots of fruit.<br />
<br />
However, if they already know that eating a large amount of fruit, at least until satiated, is healthy then why is it that they do not do the same as I do?<br />
<br />
Is it that they do not want to be healthy? They actually want to be sick or worse? I see no reason to behave in such a way as to harm my health by my selection in food. Why do they?<br />
<br />
These people are not experts in diet by any means but they seem to sense that eating pure, whole, ripe and fresh fruit for a meal is healthy. They do not aspire to be healthy and just comment about how healthy others are.<br />
<br />
I hope they start seeing what they are doing to themselves and stop their hurt. To know that you are hurting yourself but not doing anything about it is at least being an accomplice. I have read on many blogs and forums that are frequented by people with less than perfect intelligence that humans are carnivores because they have canine teeth.<br />

First of all, even if humans do have canine teeth that certainly in and of itself doesn't prove that humans are carnivores. It's not a definite proof.<br />
<br />
There are lots of animals in nature that have some very threatening looking canine teeth and they do not eat the flesh of animals. There are also many others with big canine teeth that get less than 5% of their calories from flesh of other animals.<br />
<br />
To justify eating as much as 65% of your daily intake from the flesh of animals because there are 4 teeth in your mouth that resemble those of carnivores is a bit beyond my ability to understand.<br />
<br />
First, let's look at the teeth of a wolf. A wolf is definitely a carnivore. I do not argue with that at all. I have seen them devour an animal after they stalk it and then kill it. The picture above is of what the canines of a wolf look like. Do they look like the teeth in most human's mouth? The canine teeth are the third teeth from the front on either side and on both the top and bottom. Obviously to even the untrained, there is a huge difference between these human canines and the ones of a true carnivore. The human teeth are flat and barely stick out beyond the point where the other teeth stick out to. The wolf teeth stick out a great deal beyond the rest of the teeth.<br />

These teeth are much more prolonged than even the wolf's teeth. They stick out way more than a human's teeth or even the wolf's. The gorilla doesn't kill any large animal to eat. In fact other than insects, the gorilla doesn't eat anything from the animal kingdom at all. Maybe they exist to frighten any predators away, but they certainly are not there to hunt and kill prey.<br />
<br />
The argument that humans have canine teeth and therefore are carnivores has zero credibility. It is like saying that the moon is made of cheese because it looks yellow. There are lists as long as 150 items that show that a human is not a carnivore and not even an omnivore but I will leave it to the reader to check this out. There are 4 or 5 blood types in humans. This has already been exploited by authors who write books that describe special diets for each blood type. Cows have about 800 different blood types.<br />

Has anyone seen cows eating anything other than grasses in nature? I'm not talking about a factory farm or feedlot where the animals are crowded in a small area and are fed tons of antibiotics and feed that consists of the leftovers from other industries.<br />

I'm talking about cows on an open field or pasture. They all eat the same thing, grass. Why would humans who have 5 blood types have to each eat a different diet when cows have over 800 and eat the same diet?<br />
<br />
Then there are races. We have about 6 or 7 main races such as Caucasians, Asians, Negros, Hispanics, and the American Indians, to name a few. Do these races determine what these people should eat?<br />
<br />
Actually these races are geographically from different parts of the world and there are certain foods that seem to be more popular in these parts of the world. This doesn't have any meaning as to what diet these people need to eat to be at their best and to thrive, it's just the diet that the people usually and customarily eat in the part of the world they come from.<br />
<br />
Some people believe that a person's diet depends on his or her career. For example a weight lifter needs a different diet than a person who works in an office all day.<br />
<br />
Maybe the weight lifter needs more calories overall than a person who sits at a desk all day but the nutrients and the ratios of the macro and micronutrients are the same. The weight lifter will simply eat larger quantities of the same food to thrive and stay in shape and be able to lift weights.<br />
<br />
If there are different diets for different people then there would also be different air for different people. Some people would thrive more on air from the stratosphere than from the surface of the earth. Some people would thrive more on air from a congested city than from a pristine forest.<br />
<br />
In reality all humans thrive when they get the freshest and cleanest air with the highest proportion of oxygen. This is a fact. It doesn't matter which part of the world they come from nor what their blood type is.<br />
<br />
If humans all do the best on the same kind of air they also do best on the same diet. This diet that all humans thrive on is a diet composed of fresh, whole, raw, ripe and organic fruits and vegetables.<br />

Once upon a time everyone on this planet was superfit. In fact if someone wasn't fit they would be left behind when it came to getting their food and eventually they would die.<br />

Imagine a society where everyone, nomatter what their age is, was superfit. They all could just run in a 1/2 mile spurt at full speed whenever they wanted. They could climb trees to reach fruit as high as the branches allow them to go. They could swim across a mile or two river without looking back or stopping.<br />

Not one person was overweight or obese. Every single person even in advanced years was doing a full day of physical work every single day of their life. There was no such thing as a sedentary job or lifestyle.<br />
<br />
Unfortunately, especially in the wealthy nations this is not even a distant memory. In fact things have gone full circle and few of the inhabitants of these wealthy countries can even run a few feet.<br />
<br />
We have more weight on our bodies then most of the entire population of countries like China and India and yet there are only about 1/3 as many people. Not only have we ignored these warnings, we continue to produce these massive individuals and build the current ones to insane sizes.<br />
<br />
Even the people who are employed in professions that used to require a high level of fitness are so out of shape it's shocking that they can even continue to do their daily jobs.<br />
<br />
Barely 30 percent of the population paticipates in any sort of regular intense physical activities. Many of these are still overweight as they continue to consume a very poor diet of concentrated and processed junk food as they do their exercise routines.<br />
<br />
I can not understand why these people allow themselves to get to the point where they can't walk up one or two stories of stairs. It's quite obvious that they created these conditions themselves and have the power to reverse them. They simply do not have the desire or motivation to reverse them.<br />

If you are fit or even better, superfit, you are one of the lucky 5 to 10 percent of the population. For example the term raw food is kind of popular in certain circles these days. Any health minded person seems to at least have an idea what raw food is and what it is supposed to do.<br />

I thought about this for a few minutes and realized that the term is really redundant. Raw food, is really the term used for food. Anything that is not raw is not really food.<br />
<br />
The term is used to mean food that has not been cooked. Is cooked food really still food? According the famous doctor, Paul Kouchakoff, the human body rejects any food that has been heated above some certain temperature.<br />
<br />
Our body creates a stream of white blood cells to attack the incoming invader when food that was heated is eaten. This does not happen when we eat foods that are not heated.<br />
<br />
This is a clear indication that our body knows what is food and what is not food. If we eat a bag of rocks the body will react to this the exact same way, there will be a sea of white blood cells sent out to destroy the invader.<br />
<br />
Eventhough most people eat tons of cooked and processed foods they don't realize that none of it is really food...the only real food is raw food.<br />
<br />
The entire world of life only consumes food in it's untouched natural state. Calling it raw is really redundant, of course it is raw! <br />
<br />
The only exception to this is the one foolish species that continues to destroy itself and it's home along with every other species that tries to coexist with it.<br />

Why then do humans all seem to have this occur? Maybe, just maybe they are all doing something very bad to themselves? Some are smokers. We know the devastating effects of smoking tobacco products.<br />

Still only about 25 to 30 percent of the population smokes tobacco products so how do we account for the other 55 to 60 percent? What are they doing to themselves?<br />
<br />
One thing for sure is that they do not participate in a healthy lifestyle. Being in the military or even being an athlete doesn't seem to help the situation. What can all these people have in common?<br />
<br />
Their diet is what they all have in common. They all eat animal products and cooked and processed foods. Atherosclerosis is the pre-cursor to heart disease and heart attacks. The people who have atherosclerosis are excellent candidates for a sudden heart attack. At least one third of those who have a heart attack (their first) die from that first heart attack.<br />
<br />
It is quite clear that humans are not meant to eat animal products. If they were there wouldn't be any issues with consumption of them. Carnivorous animals can and do eat as much animal carcass they desire and never get negative effects from their selection of food.<br />
<br />
Occasionally they might get indigestion but no cardiovascular issues have ever been found with wild animals in nature who simply kill and consume other animals.<br />
<br />
Accept the facts, we are not meant to consume animal products or cooked and processed food. Ever hear the campaigns for food collections ask for non-perishable food? Most people wouldn't think twice about this statement and go on.<br />

Exactly what is a non-perishable food? The food bank expects cans, jars, boxes and the like of "food". These foods can stay on the shelf for years and still have the same low quality after years as it had the day it was manufactured.<br />
<br />
Is it really a food if it is non-perishable? Let's look at nature for a minute. Is there anything any animal in nature will eat that is non-perishable?<br />
<br />
Leave out the "food" that humans dropped or left out in nature such as fast food and all the processed junk food and there is nearly nothing on the planet that is non-perishable.<br />
<br />
In fact the only food I can think of that doesn't perish with time is the food of honey bees. Honey will stay the same for years, even without any preservatives or refrigeration.<br />
<br />
Besides that one food, nothing else exists in nature that doesn't perish with time. In fact most foods will not last more than a few days without becoming rancid, fermenting or just plain rotting.<br />
<br />
Carnivores are the animals who probably consume their food the fastest becuase they know that their kill will not stay fresh for long. Carnivores also only hunt when they are hungry and they also relish the warm body and blood of their kill.<br />

When these food banks are asking for non-perishable food, what do they really mean? There is no such thing as non-perishable food. This is an oxymoron. If it is food, it is perishable (except for bee honey). Unfortunately for many of the people who are now living a natural hygienic lifestyle, starting off was not by choice. Many of the people I have met who live within the laws of nature were very sick at one point in their life and they seeked out a way to heal themselves.<br />
<br />
Of course my path to natural hygiene was similar to these people. I found myself with a very serious illness and the usual channels for help were all roadblocks. I saw so many doctors and specialists that I can't even guess at the number.<br />
<br />
All of them were the same. They all gave me the same prepared speech that they give to anybody who is asking. "There is no cure to your disease and we hope that some new drug will come out that will help". I still remember one of the first doctors who I saw and I asked him how long did he think it will be before there is a cure.<br />
<br />
His answer was ten years at least. Well now it is 25 years later and there still is no sign of anything close to a cure. For those who do not know what I am talking about, it was ulcerative colitis that I had back then. The name of the illness is not important because it is just another self-inflicted fake illness that nobody ever need to suffer from.<br />
<br />
All cases, that is 100% of all cases of ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease are due to a very poor selection of food and lifestyle. To try to attempt to cure this is quite insane. It's like sticking a knife in your finger every morning and wanting a cure to the pain and bleeding.<br />
<br />
All one needs to do is to stop sticking the knife in and soon enough, in a matter of days the pain and bleeding will stop forever. This is the same for UC and CD. Stop sticking the knife in your gut with the poor selection of food and start to love yourself and respect yourself by treating your body as an important part of your life instead of as a dumpster where anything and everything that your eyes can see is considered food.<br />
<br />
That is my story on how I entered into the natural hygiene world. After I saw how amazing it worked for healing my colon up to the point where it is way better today than even before I ever had ulcerative colitis, I decided to research it much deeper. I also noticed how I get sick so much less often. I used to get terrible sore throats at least 3 or 4 times a year. I would have a high fever and could not go to work for at least 3 or 4 days.<br />
<br />
Since 2005, I have not had one occurence of a sore throat and I had only 1 short lived cold since the middle of 2009. People all around me are sick and coughing and are talking about how they got it from someone and then passed it to someone else. This is absurd as I am right next to these people all day long and I take no extraordinary precautions to avoid getting sick. I never get what they all have.<br />
<br />
I do not use any of the anti-bacterial crap that they pass out at work. I don't cover my mouth when people cough or sneeze. I simply wash my hands with plain water when I go to the bathroom. I do not avoid touching my eyes or nose to avoid getting sick.<br />
<br />
Besides all of the above, I also feel much more energy and light. I never feel like I ate too much or get indigestion. I wake up refreshed every day and just get off of the bed and get dressed and go start the day. I never use drugs like everyone else who drinks caffeinated drinks like coffee or tea.<br />
<br />
Most every day I am just as wide awake at the end of the day as I was at the start. I don't need any energy drinks at 3p.m. to get me through the day. I find that my skin complexion is much better also. I used to get pimples very often and they would stick around for weeks. Now I rarely get them and when I do they are gone in a couple of days.<br />
<br />
One of the best things that happened to me is that I also used to get depressed on occasion. Once in a while I would have a long lasting depression, sometimes for weeks. Since 2005, I have not been depressed at all and feel that I am totally in control of my emotions. I do get sad from time to time but these feelings are usually due to events in my life and I get over them as fast as they come.<br />
<br />
Another important change is my weight. Not that I ever had a weight problem before but now I can eat as much food as I feel like and I never gain or lose weight. I reached a stable weight and it just stays where it is. So many people have the mid-life belly gut but my body looks like that of a teenager. I am older than most of the people I see who are overweight, obese or just have a huge gut. I don't need to do anything to stay fit.<br />
<br />
Of course I do try to maintain a regular exercise program as often as possible. When I find the time I will jog for about 4 or 5 miles. I also use a weight room when I have access to one. Sometimes I just do some situps or pushups, or even jumpingjacks.<br />
<br />
The best part of natural hygiene is trusting your body. I never need to have a conventional checkup from a doctor because they have no idea what health is. They will tell me that my x is too high or my y is too low but there is no reason whatsoever to have x or y in any special range if you are getting all the nutrition needed and you are getting all the other required natural inputs such as sunshine, fresh air, exercise, sleep, and the rest. When things start to feel wrong I know it and I will adjust my lifestyle appropriately.<br />

Now I allow my body to guide me to health. If I feel I need some extra sleep, I go to sleep an hour early. If I feel I need more exercise I will go on a long fast walk for an hour or two. When I feel I need a break from the routine I will go on a vacation to a secluded spot in nature to get a dose of peace and tranquility.<br />

Give it a try now before you find that you are forced to do it. This post is not really related to Natural Hygiene but in a way it is because the best diet for natural hygiene is a strictly vegan diet. Many vegans and vegan groups are criticized for being too manipulative or even extreme.<br />
<br />
Ask any typical meat eater and they often say that they would be interested in hearing what vegans have to say but that they find them too extreme in their politics and tactics.<br />
<br />
Certainly some of the vegan organizations are too extreme. Some will go to any extent to make their point, even to do illegal activities. I do not support doing anything illegal to make a point regardless of the situation.<br />
<br />
The reason why vegans and vegan organizations must be very forceful and do activities that seem to be extreme is because they are speaking for those who can not speak for themselves. If animals had the ability to speak the entire animal products industry will cease to exist.<br />
<br />
An analogy of this is like having a large family and many of your family members are either mentally retarded or unable to speak or communicate the way other humans do. They can not tell anyone when they are happy or sad, when they feel comfortable or feel pain, when they are scared or worried, etc.<br />
<br />
The animals of this planet are exactly like this, they are a living breathing and feeling beings but they do not communicate in human languages. Each animal has it's own developed mental and physical strengths which it needs for the environment it evolved into. Humans have their own strengths which are different than the ones of animals.<br />
<br />
These beings share this planet with us and are here for other purposes than to be a commodity for human industry and entertainment. If they can not speak for themselves then someone who is human must speak for them.<br />
<br />
These humans who speak for animals are called vegans. Before laws were changed allowing slaves to be free, these humans were treated the same as animals are today, eventhough they could speak and communicate with others.<br />
<br />
Vegans are not too extreme or manipulative at all, in fact all people who abuse animals by wearing their skins, eating parts of them, or are abusive in any other way to animals need to listen to the spokespeople of the animals.<br />
<br />

If you have read this blog before then you most likely know what the diet which is commonly referred to the 811 diet is. It's shorthand for the diet described in the popular book by Douglas Graham called "The 80/10/10 Diet".<br />

I know of a few people who read the book but they completely ignored the information like it was written in a language that they did not understand. <br />
<br />
Nobody on this planet is immune to suffering. Every single human can get a heart attack at a moment's notice and the statistics clearly state that at least one third of these people will die from that heart attack.<br />
<br />
Heart attacks kill more people annually than any other cause of death. Most people's first sign that something is wrong is a heart attack.<br />
<br />
If you are in the unlucky group of the one third that die from the heart attack then your first sign of heart problems is death. Now does that sound like something you would like?<br />
<br />
I don't know about you but I would rather bypass (no pun intended) the entire issue and worry about other health issues than that.<br />
<br />
The information about the 811 diet is like a lifejacket. If you store the lifejacket in the closet and don't take it when on the boat, you might as well not have it at all.<br />
<br />
If you read the information about 811 and decided to simply ignore it then you might as well not know about the information in the first place. Just play ignorant and take your chances.<br />
<br />
It's shameful to see so many people suffer from so many dis-eases when nearly all of them are completely avoidable. Here is something very funny about people. I suppose it depends on where in the world you live, but here in the United States of America most of the people are brainwashed to believe that some magical man named Jesus was born some 2000+ years ago and he was able to do things nobody can do, all the way to actually dying and then coming back to life.<br />

If you don't think that is strange or weird, then you must be one of the ones who are brainwashed. Any logical sane person who has any sense at all can see that the stories about Jesus are basically made up fairytales. Nobody who was born a human has ever died and came back to life. Still the vast majority of people here not only believe the nonsense about their religion(s) but they even try to make others believe what they believe.<br />
<br />
The truly amazing thing is that few of these people who really believe in these crazy stories about their religion don't believe that the human body, their own body is capable of healing itself. They all seem to believe that the only way to heal their ills is by seeing a doctor or a nurse and then taking some prescribed medicine to heal themselves. The body would never be able to heal without the intervention of medicine and doctors.<br />
<br />
If I meet someone who is suffering terribly with easy to reverse lifestyle diseases such as diabetes and the like and I explained to them that they need to modify their lifetsyle in order to reverse their disease, they look at me as if I am a crazy fool. The next day they will sit in a building where a man will get up in front of them and say that Jesus came back to life for them and they won't have a second thought that everything they said was 100% true.<br />
